LENTEN RETREAT FOR PASTORAL MUSICIANS The annual NPM/DC Lenten Retreat provides pastoral musicians with the time, space and inspiration to recommit and be re-energized. Make time for this important event. You and your parish will be rewarded. We are delighted to have Sr. Sheila Browne, R.S.M. as our retreat leader this year. Sister Sheila is the Director of Music for the Diocese of Rockville Centre and Associate Director of Liturgy for the Diocese. Previous to this appointment, she has been Music Director in parishes in the dioceses of Rockville Centre and Brooklyn, specializing in choral music; she taught on the elementary, secondary and college levels. She received a Bachelor's degree in Music from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, a Master in Music Education degree from Queens College of the City of New York. She holds a Master's Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Once again this year we will meet at Our Lady of Mattaponi Retreat Center, where a warm welcome awaits you. Come prepared to have your mind and heart opened. DIRECTIONS: Take Capital Beltway into Prince George's County. Take Pennsylvania Avenue/ Route 4, Exit 11 East. After 3 traffic lights and a long stretch with no lights, take Rt. 301 south. Cross a railroad track; stay in the left lane. After Chew Road, take next left on Croom Station Road. At the "T" go left on Croom Road, Rt. 382. Stay on Croom Road passing a small store on the left. Bear left on St. Thomas Church Road. Bear left past a cemetery and a small church. Turn right on Mattaponi Road. Retreat Center is 1/8 mile in on the left.
